Fenton Launches New Artware Division

(Williamstown, WV). Fenton Art Glass will extend its product offerings with new lines of traditional and contemporary designs in glass and non-glass. The new Fenton "Artware" division will include products from around the world as well as handmade, colored art glass made in the USA by Fenton.

Fenton Artware will be introduced at giftware shows in early 2007, company President George Fenton said. "We are very optimistic about this new family of products," Fenton said. "As a company known for innovation for more than 100 years, our new Artware division is another example of our responding to a very competitive market."

According to Director of Design Nancy Fenton, "Fenton Artware will coordinate with Fenton glass products by style and color to create attractive displays." Initial offerings in the Fenton Artware line will be introduced at the January shows with additional designs available later in 2007.

Founded in 1905, the Fenton organization includes two other divisions. The Fenton Art Glass division includes traditional and contemporary handmade colored art glass designed and produced in Williamstown, W. Va. "This is and will remain Fenton's core business," George Fenton said. "The Fenton Studio division consists of artistic glass products produced in the USA in association with outside and in-house designers in the glassmaking, decorating, and sandcarving crafts."

Creating spectacular colored art glass for a century, Fenton Art Glass Company represents American handcrafted glass artistry. Located in Williamstown, WV, Fenton is known for its wide range of colors, handpainting and handcrafting. For four generations, Fenton family members have remained active in the business and are proud to continue an American glassmaking tradition begun in 1905.
