Fenton International Launches Blue Odyssey Glassware

(Williamstown, WV, June 10, 2008).
The Fenton International division of Fenton Art Glass has begun to market a line of imported glassware. There will be four color groups (Blue Odyssey, Gold Ruby, Golden Sand, and Golden Stripe) with items ranging from bowls and pitchers to baskets and vases. These giftware items will be available in stores around August 1. Each piece will carry the distinctive Fenton International logo.

For the Blue Odyssey group, a layer of deep blue glass flows over a rich purple core to create the background for individual works of art. There are nine different vase shapes, each with a distinctive hand cut pattern created by Fenton designer Stacy Williams. "These designs have been developed with meticulous care to ensure they bring great value to the end consumer," said Fenton Art Glass Company President George Fenton. "We have more than a century of design and color expertise, so we decided to use that expertise to become the premier supplier of colored glass from around the world. We worked closely with an experienced glass manufacturer in China to create distinctive, attractive items for this new Blue Odyssey line. Quality is a top priority, and this firm is one of the few that can meet our specifications."

Creating "art for the home" for more than a century, Fenton Art Glass continues to produce handcrafted colored art glass in Williamstown, West Virginia under the Fenton USA division. Fenton is known worldwide for its wide range of colors, handpainting and handcrafting. For four generations, Fenton family members have remained active in the business and are proud to continue an American glassmaking tradition begun in 1905.
