Bead Care: Treat your glass beads with care, as you would any “fine” jewelry. To clean the glass, wipe the bead with a damp cloth. To polish the silver core, gently rub the side of the bead back and forth on a polishing cloth. Do not expose beads to acidic materials, such as lemon juice or vinegar, or any household cleaners. Never immerse beads in a liquid jewelry cleaner and never clean glass beads in a jewelry tumbler.

Fenton Gift Shop Presents. . . Our Latest Limited Editions!

We are pleased to offer these new Limited Edition selections for pre-orders. Each piece features a hand painted design and will be signed, numbered and dated 2019 by one of our talented artists. The Iceberg Paperweight was  made by Mosser Glass and the other Limited Editions were handcrafted by Mosser Glass, using the Fenton Art Glass moulds, exclusively for the Fenton Gift Shop.

The rich, Cobalt blue of this 5-1/8" tall and 7" wide Iceberg Paperweight provides the perfect glass canvas for Michelle Kibbe's portrayal of a Great Horned Owl. The focal point of this paperweight is the Great Horned Owl perched on a pine tree branch. White stars against a dark blue night sky and a full moon are the perfect backdrop for Michelle's hand painted scene. The photos below show more views, including how the silhouette of the owl may be seen through the back. Each Great Horned Owl Iceberg Paperweight is $100.

Collectors have enjoyed the charm of Fenton fairy lights for more than half a century. The flickering flame from a small candle or a battery-operated tea light inside a Fenton Fairy Light always seems to warm an entire room. Our 5" Opal Satin Fairy Light, shown at right, is no exception.

Pastel shades of lavender and violet provide a floral "frame" for the large Robin posed on a branch. A popular bird that many people see in their yards at the end of winter, the Robin sings a cheery song. Michelle captures the rusty color of the Robin's breast. In our area, we welcome this common backyard visitor as a sign of Spring!

The photos below show more details on the hand painted flowers that encircle the shade and a pinstripe accent around the top of the shade. Michelle added vivid greenery to complement the floral design. The base is airbrushed in shades of lavender.

A tea light is provided with each Fairy Light and you can see the golden glow which highlights the bird in the photo below.

Did you know. . . Though robins migrate south for the winter, many will stay in one place year-round. During the winter months they stay in trees, so may not be spotted as easily. Each Spring Robin Fairy Light is $95.

This 11" Opal Satin Alley Cat has been transformed into a "Tortoiseshell" cat by Kim Barley. Note the patches of black and orange-brown colors that range in size from a speckled pattern to large splotches of color. This pattern is characteristic of the Tortoiseshell. Kim added large green eyes and white whiskers to the face. Kim also designed a matching Sitting Cat Figurine shown below.

One of the most collectible items in Fenton history, this Alley Cat has also been one of Fenton's most popular items since it was first made in 1970. Fenton collectors just can't seem to get enough of the Alley Cat's characteristic grin! The mould originated at the U.S. Glass Co. in Tiffin, Ohio during the 1920s and was purchased by Fenton Art Glass in the mid-1960s. Since that time, this Alley Cat has been made in a rainbow of colors and decorative treatments.
Each Tortoiseshell Alley Cat is $185.

Our impressive 10.75" tall Opal Satin Vase works perfectly as the glass canvas for Robin Spindler's design which she aptly named "Lion Family".

Dominating one side of the vase is a close-up of the head of a lion and of a lioness, while another side shows one young lion cub's head as well as two sets of lion cub eyes peering out from amidst the dense jungle vegetation.

Front and back views of this spectacular vase are shown at right and additional views are shown below. Robin added a pattern of black and golden brown leopard spots to the top and bottom areas of the vase that provide an excellent frame effect for her hand painted scene. Robin's artistic talent shines on the expressive amber eyes of the adults as well as the sky blue eyes of the three cubs. The dense jungle vegetation in the background completes the look of this spectacular vase.

Imagine the reactions you'll receive from guests when you display this vase in your home!

Decorating Tip: George Fenton suggested that we place a tea light in the bottom of this vase. . . so we did, turned off the office lights, and WOW! . . . what a dramatic effect the small tea light creates on this vase! Thanks for the tip, George!

Did you know. . . The name for a baby lion is a cub, whelp or lionet. Lion cubs are born with blue eyes that change to amber or brown when they are around the age of two to three months. The roar of an adult male lion can be heard up to nearly 5 miles away. A lion can roar as loud as 114 decibels, which is more than a gas-powered lawn mower at 90 decibels.

Each Lion Family Vase is $190.

The perfect companion for the Limited Edition Tortoiseshell Alley Cat mentioned above, our Sitting Cat Figurine features the diverse patterns of the Tortoiseshell Cat (see photo at left).

Designed by Kim Barley, this 3.5" Opal Satin figurine has large green eyes and white tufts of fur in the upper chest area. Shown below are more views that allow you to see the large striped pattern of black, brown and golden-orange colors that Kim used on this figurine.

Did you know. . . If you own a Tortoiseshell, you may be considered lucky! The strong-willed Tortoiseshell is believed to be a sign of good luck or good fortune, often mentioned in the folklore of many cultures. Each Tortoiseshell Sitting Cat Figurine is $75.

Here's a delightful figurine that you can display all year long! Robin Spindler thought that the colorful shades used in making Easter eggs would look great as a design on our 5" Opal Satin Duck Figurine. We agree! The rainbow of soft pastel colors blend perfectly. Robin added the eyes and painted the beak in a bright yellow-orange. Each Shades of Easter Egg Duck Figurine is $75 and limited to 11 figurines.

Pre-orders for the Lion Family Vase, Tortoiseshell Sitting Cat and Shades of Easter Egg Duck Figurines will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Please contact Fenton Gift Shop at 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or email: purchasing@fentongiftshop.com and include the names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line. Include your full name and daytime phone number so we may follow-up on your request. RETURN POLICY: Returns are accepted on "undamaged" items. Returns are to be shipped within 30 days of receipt, at customer expense, to Fenton Gift Shop, 2242 Williams Hwy., Suite 108, Williamstown, WV 26187. Fenton Gift Shop Presents. . . Pretty Amphibians With A Twist!

Michelle Kibbe continues her "Pretty Frog" designs on our 3.5" long Opal Satin figurine with her "Blue & Black Poison Dart Frog". The second in Michelle's series, this figurine sports an irregular pattern of black spots on a bright blue body. Though toxic, Poison Dart Frogs are still preyed upon by large spiders and some snakes. This figurine may start many a conversation and will certainly be an interesting addition to any figurine collection! Each Blue & Black Frog Figurine is $75 with pre-orders due by midnight on Wednesday, March 13th. Contact Fenton Gift Shop at 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or email: purchasing@fentongiftshop.com and include the names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line. Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .
Here's your opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind glass creation through our weekly Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions.
These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, March 13.

Items featured this week. . .

Perfect for Halloween, here's a great combination of sandcarving and hand painting, along with the signature of a Fenton family member! Meticulous sandcarving combines with skillful hand painting on this splendid one-of-a-kind vase (10.87") in Persimmon glass.

Cathy Mackey designed and sandcarved the trees and topmost border of the vase. Then Fenton artist Kim Barley went to work, hand painting everything from the haunted houses and the fluttering bats to the leaves on the trees and the realistic "Dead End/Spooky/Go Back" signpost. Look carefully to see the Halloween elements: bats, a ghost and creepy eyes peering from one of the windows!

This unique color treatment by Fenton Art Glass is cased glass, consisting of an inner layer of Milk Glass and an exterior layer of ruby glass. No matter which side you view, this vase really makes a statement! This one-of-a-kind sandcarved and hand painted vase is identified, signed and dated on the underside: "Cathy Mackey Kim Barley 2019 OOAK T. K. Fenton." This project was developed by former Fenton Art Glass factory manager Tom Fenton, and he has personally signed this vase. No matter which side you view, this vase really makes a statement!

This one of-a-kind hand painted iceberg paperweight (5.125" tall and 7" wide) from Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe created quite a sensation when those of us at the Fenton Gift Shop first saw it. The glass color called Mystic Ice (crystal with a blue hue) is the perfect canvas for Michelle's reverse painted depiction of a Tiger pausing for a drink at a pool of water in the depths of the jungle. It creates a wonderful three-dimensional effect. The reverse painting adds wonderful depth to the overall scene, and the realistic hand painted details are simply splendid to behold (just look at those eyes!). Signed and dated 2019 by Michelle Kibbe. These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, March 13.
