Michelle Kibbe has transformed our 11" Opal
Satin Alley Cat and our 5" Opal Satin Stylized Cat into White
Tigers! Note the distinctive white tiger stripes and beautiful
blue eyes on each figurine! You'll love the mischievous grin
of the Alley Cat and the elegant pose of the Stylized Cat!
Perfect feline pair to collect! The Alley Cat is among the
most collectible items in Fenton history. One of Fenton's most
popular items since it was first made in 1970, Fenton
collectors just can't seem to get enough of the Alley Cat's
characteristic grin! Additional views of each piece are shown
The mould for this piece originated at the U.S.
Glass Co. in Tiffin, Ohio during the 1920s and was purchased
by Fenton Art Glass in the mid-1960s. Since that time, this
whimsical Alley Cat has been made in a rainbow of colors and
Did you know. . . The white tiger
is a rare form of Bengal tiger with a unique (recessive) gene
inherited from its
parents. White tigers are born only when two Bengal tigers
that possess the recessive gene are bred together.
Currently there are no white tigers in the wild. The entire
world population of white tigers lives in captivity. The male
white tiger is about eight to just over ten feet in length and
the female is about seven to eight and a half feet. The top
speed of the white tiger is 60 miles per hour. Their lifespan
is between 10 to 20 years.
Each White Tiger Alley Cat Figurine is $185
and each White Tiger Stylized Cat
Figurine is $95.
Kim Barley's "Mew to You" design on our 8" Opal
Satin Chessie Cat Covered Box is both adorable and
unique! The black Chessie Cat has curling golden whiskers,
white "fang" teeth and mesmerizing green eyes. A dangling
spider, golden star wand, black spindly branches, white stars,
a pumpkin inside of a tower, and flying bats are painted in
the background. Kim added a witch hat and white stars on the
back of this piece.
The popular "Chessie" cat character was used as
a symbol of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. They used this
artwork with their slogan that when traveling on their railway
you would "sleep like a kitten". In addition to the artist's
signature, the base of this box is embossed with the words "Chessie

Robin Spindler salutes the "Northern Flicker"
with her depiction of the western version on this 7" x 5"

Each Male Northern Flicker Iceberg
Paperweight is $100.
Did you know. . . North America has two
easily distinguished Northern Flickers: the yellow-shafted of
the East, which can be found as far west as Texas and the Great Plains, and
the red-shafted Northern Flicker of the West. Flickers are
fairly large woodpeckers with a slim, rounded head, slightly downcurved
bill, and long, flared tail that tapers to a point. The key
difference is the color of the flight-feather shafts, which
are either a lemon yellow or a rosy red. Red-shafted forms
have a gray face, brown crown, and no nape crescent, while the
male has a red mustache stripe. Look for flickers in open
habitats near trees, including woodlands, edges, yards, and
parks. In the West, you can find them in mountain forests.
Each Male Northern Flicker Iceberg
Paperweight is $100.
If you like the paperweight then you'll also
like this matching Northern Flicker
Vase! Robin Spindler hand painted the female and young
Northern Flickers on our 9" Opal Satin Vase. The background
features the nest cavity of a tree with large rosy pink
blossoms and foliage providing the perfect frame for the
female Northern Flicker and her young.
Each Northern Flickers Vase is $160.

featured this week.
At 11.75" tall, this one-of-a-kind hand painted
vase in Blue Burmese glass from Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe
really makes a statement! The lush, vividly-colored hand
painted florals created by Michelle in different hues are sure
to attract Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, and Michelle has
depicted them in full flight as they eagerly search for
nectar. Every brushstroke is meticulously done, and this
one-of-a-kind vase is simply spectacular to behold. Note the
scrollwork, band and other interesting artistic touches. Blue
Burmese is a classic Fenton glass color, made with pure gold
in the glass batch, and special reheating techniques by Fenton
glassworkers are required to create the distinctive pink blush
that collectors love.
Here's a rare opportunity to acquire some interesting historic
bank checks from the past years of the Fenton Art Glass
Company. We have just 3 sets of these checks to sell. In each
set, there are nine different bank checks, as follows: (1)
Dollar Savings Bank, Bridgeport, Ohio (our very first bank
account, c. 1905); (2) Williamstown National Bank, c. 1907;
(3) Williamstown National Bank, Williamstown, West Virginia,
c. 1908; (4) Citizens National Bank of Parkersburg, West
Virginia, c. 1909; (5) "Dividend Check" First National Bank,
Marietta, Ohio, c. 1910; (6) Farmers and Mechanics National
Bank, Williamstown, West Virginia, c. 1920s; (7) First
National Bank, Marietta, Ohio, c. 1920s; (8) "Petty Cash Fund"
Farmers & Mechanics National Bank, Williamstown, West
Virginia, c. 1940s-1950s; and (9) JPMorgan Chase Bank, N. A.,
c. 2000s. These nine Fenton Art Glass Company paper checks are
unused and are in excellent condition for their age. These
checks will make a wonderful display for any collector of
Fenton glass or historic financial documents.
Here's a great chance to acquire a bit of Fenton Art Glass
history. Made from original negatives in the Fenton Archives,
these two 8x10 photos date from 1907-1908. One 8x10 photo
shows the decorating department in considerable detail. Two
women hand painting decorations on tumblers are seated at a
long table in the foreground, and one man and two women are
seated just behind (these three employees are decorating
pitchers). Stacks and stacks of glassware seem to be
everywhere! The man standing on the left side of the photo is
decorating department foreman Otto Goertler, and the man
standing at the extreme right in the photo appears to be John
W. Fenton, co-founder of the company. The other 8x10 photo
shows the cutting department at Fenton Art Glass. A woman
employee stands in the left of the photo, and several men
employees can be seen behind her. The belts overhead powered
the thin copper wheels that were used to do cutting, and many
crystal glass items are stacked in the immediate area. On the
right side of the photo, just below what appears to be a
folded fire hose, several items (swung vases and pitchers) in
opalescent glass are on a table. These 8x10 photos of areas in
the Fenton Art Glass Company are high-quality black-and-white
prints on a special metallic paper to heighten contrast.
These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday,
January 9, 2019.
