Michelle Kibbe has created a fantastic
rendition of the tiny Saw-whet Owl for our 11" Opal Satin
Vase. A golden-eyed owl rests on a branch on one side and
another owl looks out from its tree nest on the other side of
this vase. Michelle's design encircles this vase and is
stunning however it is displayed.
Did you know. . . With its big
yellow eyes, disproportionately large head, and almost
cat-like look to its face, the Saw-whet Owl is one of the
cutest of its species! Their large eyes help them see in low
light. Saw-whet Owls have a bony ring around each eye, which
protects the eye and gives it shape. The Northern Saw-whet Owl
is mentioned in the Grateful Dead song "Unbroken Chain."
Each Saw-whet Owl Vase is $190.
Our 2.75" Mouse Figurine is ready to welcome
2019 in style! Designed and painted by Kim Barley, this
figurine sports all the festive symbols we use to celebrate
the new year: champagne bottle and glass, party streamers, a
clock nearly at the midnight hour, pink lips posed for a
New Year's kiss, a golden bow tie, and the words "Happy New
Year" hand lettered on one ear. Kim added a golden sash with
"2019" across the figurine's front. As always, Kim added her
whimsical touch to the expression on the face! A "must have"
for figurine collectors!
Each Happy New Year 2019 Mouse
Figurine is $80.
Below: Michelle Kibbe's recent "Playful Penguins"
design has proven very popular! So she decided to continue
this theme on our Opal Satin Snowman (4") and Snowlady
(3.75"). Each figurine has a penguin playing in the snow, one
skating and another getting ready for a snowball fight!
Michelle added color coordinated details and trim on each
figurine. Note the snowflake on the Snowlady's hat and the
rosy cheeks, bright carrot nose and smiling faces on these

Figurine Set is $140.

Robin Spindler chose to depict the magnificent
Black Panther on this impressive 11.75" Opal Satin Vase. The
true-to-life hand painted details on the panthers, butterfly
and flowers are amazing and a tribute to Robin's talent. Lush coral-colored flowers encircle the vase
and provide a magnificent frame for the Black Panther mother
watching over her cub. The cub has its big blue eyes on a blue
and black winged butterfly seeking nectar from a nearby
flower. Robin will also add the name "Black Panther" to
her signature on each vase. Additional views of this
vase are shown below, as well as images of the coordinating
Black Jewel Stylized Cat Figurine.
Each Black Panther Vase is $230.
Did you know. . . The "black panther" is
actually either a black jaguar of the Americas or a black
Asia and Africa. This animal has characteristic spots, but
they are often too hard to see because of the darkness of the
animal's fur. Female panthers are generally called
“she-panthers" and baby panthers are known as cubs. The black
panther is often called "the ghost of the forest'" because
it's dark coat helps it hide and stalk prey very easily,
especially at night. Great swimmers and one of the strongest
tree climbing big cats, black panthers often pounce on prey
from a tree. They are capable of leaping up to 20 feet to
catch their prey.
Black Cat Figurine: A wonderful addition
to any cat or figurine collection! This 4.5" Black Stylized Cat
Figurine has a golden
butterfly accent and a gemstone collar (color may vary) that really sparkles!
The body is a glossy black. Robin Spindler created wonderful hand painted details
on the face. Note
those bright blue eyes, pink nose and ears.
Each Black Jewel Stylized Cat Figurine is $90.
Below: Kim Barley created a serene winter scene on
this 6.25" Opal Satin Tree. The entire figurine is
airbrushed in a pale green shade and Kim added several
pine cones to snow-covered branches. A brilliant red
cardinal perches on a branch. Perfect to display all
season long! Each Pine Cones & Cardinal Tree
Figurine is $60.

Here's a once in a lifetime opportunity to own
a piece of Fenton history! This is the last remaining colored
door panel, and it's the ONLY one in Colonial Orange, a Fenton
glass color from the 1960s! In the mid-1960s, the Fenton Art
Glass Co. office area and the Fenton Gift Shop underwent
considerable remodeling. Attractive brick facing was
constructed on exterior areas, and the iconic "Clarence"
figure was mounted above the gift shop entrance. Colored glass
panels, made by skilled glassworkers at Fenton, were placed
around the entrance door to the Fenton Gift Shop and around
the entrance door to the reception area of the Fenton Art
Glass Company. Demolition of the Fenton factory is complete,
and a new school is being built at the site. The colored glass
panels were saved and offered for sale. THIS IS THE LAST
FENTON DOOR PANEL IN ANY COLOR, THERE ARE NO MORE! This
one-of-a-kind Colonial Orange glass panel is 11.75" tall by
8.75" wide. There are a few minor chips near the edges on the
back side of this panel. This Colonial Orange glass panel has
been signed, inscribed as one-of-a-kind with "OOAK" and dated
2018 by Fenton Art Glass Co. president George Fenton and by
Fenton Gift Shop president Randy Fenton. A certificate of
authenticity is also included.
These glass rods are color samples of Fenton glass from the
1960s. The rods were made under the direction of glass chemist
Charles “Charlie” Goe, who was employed at the Fenton Art
Glass Co. from September 1, 1960 until his death at age 40 in
October 1969. In addition to his day-to-day duties involving
glass batch mixing and other aspects of production, Charlie
was a research chemist. In the 1960s, company president Frank
M. Fenton was very interested in having Fenton recreate
historic glass colors such as Jacob Rosenthal’s Chocolate from
the earliest years of the twentieth century. Goe worked on
developing various glass colors during his time at Fenton.
This assortment of 16 glass color samples includes the
following: Chocolate (3), blue (3), light blue-green (1), gray
(2) topaz (2), black (1) and ruby (4). These glass rods were
made by gathering a small quantity of glass from a “test pot”
on a punty and rolling it on a steel plate called a marver.
Because of the process used to make them, the rods will vary
somewhat in length and in diameter; typically, each rod is
slightly more than 2-1/2” long and about 3/8” in diameter.
Each rod has a paper label that records a coded reference for
the glass batch, the specific date (month, day and year), and
whether the glass is unfinished (”unfin”) or finished (“fin”).
Unfinished means that the molten glass was taken from the pot,
and the rod was created immediately. Finished means that the
glass was taken from the pot, allowed to chill briefly, and
subsequently reheated before creating the rod.
Inspired by the c. 1907-1908 photo of the Fenton Art Glass
decorating department, award-winning designer Robin Spindler
recaptured this wonderful moment in time with vivid color on a
one-of-a-kind hand painted plate (8" d.). This auction is
for the plate and the 8x10 photo, too! The plate is Opal
Satin glass, and Robin began by delicately airbrushing a
background in light purple tones. Then she carefully sketched
in some of the people who appear in the background of that c.
1907-1908 photo. Finally, she hand painted a truly remarkable
color portrait of one of the women decorators from the
foreground of the photo. Every brushstroke is meticulously
done, and the effect is just great. When we first saw this
plate, we really felt like we were looking into the past! The
8" x 10" photo you will receive was made from an original
negative in the Fenton Archives, and it's printed on a special
metallic paper to emphasize contrast ... perfect for framing.
This one-of-a-kind hand painted plate is identified, signed
and dated on the reverse side: "Fenton 2018 hand painted by J.
K. Spindler OOAK Fenton Art Glass Decorating Dept. 1907-08".
These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday,
January 2nd, 2019.
