Glass eggs have been produced by American
manufacturers since the early 1900s. The Fenton Art Glass
"5140" Egg on Stand was produced in many colors and
patterns during the 1970s and 80s. Fenton began a
Collectible Eggs series in 1991.
Satin Egg on Stand features the first in a series of
"Lighthouse" designs by Michelle Kibbe. Several sailboats
as well as landforms are in the background. Each
Sailboats & Lighthouse Egg on Stand is $75.
Michelle Kibbe's hand painted "Stardust" design
on our 5.75" Black Ghost Figurine is sure to delight one
and all! The Ghost has a big smile. The arms are spread
wide with floating golden stars and glittering stardust. A
stylized black cat sits near a blue witch's hat and
appears to be checking out that smiling pumpkin behind the
window. Note the stars and design accents on the front and
back of this figurine. Each Stardust Ghost
Figurine is $110.
Our impressive 11.5" Opal Satin Vase makes the
perfect piece to add to your Halloween display! You'll love
Kim Barley's "Haunted Mansion" design. . . from
the weathered mansion complete with barred door and
windows, evil eyes peering from a window, a silhouetted
figurine behind another window to the star accents and
ghost flying up from the chimney. Kim added marvelous
details including a gnarly tree, flying bats, a full moon,
and tombstones to complete this piece. Each Haunted
Mansion Vase is $240.
Pre-orders for the Sailboats &
Egg on Stand, Stardust
and Haunted Mansion Vase will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Monday, August 27th,

Spindler created a realistic scene of a Baltimore Oriole
and its nest on our approximately 9" Opal Satin Vase. A
lovely sky blue provides the background of the bird
perched on an "orange feeder" hanging from a tree. The
unique Baltimore Oriole nest is depicted on one side of
Did you know. . . Baltimore Orioles were so named
because of their bright orange and black colors. The
Baltimore Oriole is also Maryland's state bird. The bird's
colors are the same colors as the family crest of the
Second Baron Baltimore, one of Marylandís founders.
Orioles sometimes feed in a clever way. The bird will
stick its closed beak into a soft fruit, such as the
orange depicted in the above scene, then open its mouth,
which creates a cup of fruit juice that it then drinks
with its tongue. Some say that the nest of a Baltimore
Oriole resembles a stuffed sock. The nest hangs high
in the air at the very edge of a tree branch to keep
predators away. It can take a female as long as 15 days to
construct the nest, which is woven out of various fibers
like animal fur, twine, wool, bark and other materials.
Each Baltimore Oriole Vase is $170.
Barley continues a popular Halloween design by re-creating
it on our 5" Stylized Cat Figurine. This design was most
recently featured on our Sitting Cat Figurine (July 27th
newsletter). This Cat sports a large orange bowtie with
black polka dots, candy corn striped ears and socks and
big blue eyes.
Kim added Moon and stars accents and a goldfish bowl with
hand lettered "Boo!" and a grinning pumpkin. Each
Fishbowl Boo! Stylized Cat Figurine is $90.
Spindler was inspired by a Bible verse for this hand
painted design of a Cowboy in the desert. A full moon
and shooting star are in the background of this 7"
Cobalt Iceberg Paperweight, which was handcrafted at
Mosser Glass. The Iceberg Paperweight is approximately
5" wide at the base.
Robin created a silhouette style for the cowboy and
his horse. Note the white paint outlines which lend an
almost three- dimensional effect. She added a
landscape laden with pink cactus flowers to complete

The wonderful Alley Cat is among the best-loved
collectibles from Fenton Art Glass, and this one-of-a-kind
hand painted Chocolate glass Alley Cat (11" tall) by artist
Michelle Kibbe is sure to find a place is someone's
collection! Michelle created and hand painted the whimsical
green frog that enjoys dining on toadstools, and the overall
scene is sure to delight all those who will see it in your
home. Note the accents added to the Alley Cat's mischievous
grin, too! Chocolate glass is a classic Fenton color, first
perfected by Jacob Rosenthal in late 1900 when he was employed
in Greentown, Indiana, and then made at Fenton in 1907-1909
when Rosenthal was Fenton factory manager and chemist.
Chocolate glass is sensitive to heat, and the resulting
light/dark portions on this Alley Cat are simply outstanding.
Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe loves flowers and butterflies,
and this one-of-a-kind basket (8" tall) is a great example of
her hand painting talents and skills. The floral motif
consists of remarkably delicate flowers in white and blue
tones, along with realistic green leaves and foliage. A hand
painted butterfly hovers over a group of flowers. Every
brushstroke is meticulously done, and the hand painted
decoration completely encircles the basket. This Opal Satin
basket has a ribbed pattern inside, and the edge features a
double crimp style. Note the fine rib twisted handle, a real
tribute to the splendid skills of the glassworkers at Fenton
Award winning Fenton artist Robin Spindler has used her design
talents and sandcarving skills to create a splendid
one-of-a-kind bowl (3" tall with 3" diameter opening) in
Favrene glass. Robin's design of intricate stylized leaves
completely encircles the piece, and the vivid iridescence of
Favrene glass is shown to absolute perfection! This piece will
display beautifully by itself, but it could also be used for
arrangements of artificial or dried flowers as well as for
potpourri. Favrene glass, developed by Fenton chemists after
years of experimentation, contains pure silver in the glass
batch, and special reheating techniques mastered by Fenton
glassworkers bring forth the vivid iridescence. These
