NEW Limited Editions from Fenton Gift Shop. . .
We are pleased to offer these new Limited Edition selections for pre-orders. Each piece features a hand painted design and will be signed, numbered and dated by one of our talented designers. These Limited Edition items were handcrafted by Mosser Glass, using the Fenton moulds, exclusively for the Fenton Gift Shop.

Michelle Kibbe has transformed our Chessie Cat into an adorable Scarecrow Cat! "Chessie" was a popular cat character used as a symbol of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C & O). They used this artwork with their advertising slogan that when traveling on their railway you would "sleep like a kitten". Fenton created this item especially for the C & O company. This Chessie box has embossed lettering ("Chessie by Fenton") on the underside as well as Michelle's signature.

You'll love the hand painted details on this 8" opal Satin Chessie Cat Covered Box. . . from the straw hat with tufts of straw sticking out and kitty "ear holes" to the corn stalks and sunflower accents. The cat's face features a stitched nose and grinning mouth and a pink patch accent is on the cheek.

Note the three black crows perching near sunflowers on the lid and the patchwork on the cat's face and blanket. Each Scarecrow Chessie Cat Covered Box is $150.

Michelle Kibbe was inspired to create this beautiful scene for the winter season on our 10.5" Opal Satin Hurricane Candle Lamp (shade is 9"). This shape has been included in the Fenton line for many decades, with some styles dating as far back as the 1939. Michelle's hand painted Cardinal is remarkable as are the details on the pine cones, snow covered holly sprigs and colorful red berries and the flowing red ribbons. Add a battery-operated tea light or a taper candle to the base (see insert in photo above) to create a lovely heartwarming glow! Each Cardinal on Green Hurricane Candle Lamp is $150.

Our popular Snowman (4") and Snowlady (3.75") Figurines welcome the coming season with Kim Barley's hand painted "Happy Fall" greeting. Kim has each figurine decked out in autumn colors of orange and green. The Snowman sports pumpkin face ear muffs and a matching pumpkin adorns the purse of the Snowlady. Kim's marvelous hand painted details also include a spider web complete with a dangling spider as well as a black cat peeking out from golden-orange pumpkins on each figurine. Each Happy Fall Snow Couple Figurine Set is $140.

Pre-orders for the Scarecrow Chessie Cat Covered Box, Cardinal on Green Hurricane Candle Lamp and Happy Fall Snow Couple Figurine Set will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Monday, August 20th, 2018. To pre-order these Limited Editions, contact Fenton Gift Shop at 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or send us an email: purchasing@fentongiftshop.com and include the names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line as well as your full name and daytime phone number so we may follow-up on your request.

Robin Spindler created a marvelous scene of a Shepherd calling for his flock on this impressive 11" Opal Satin Vase. One view has the shepherd standing with some of the flock near a stream. Another view shows some sheep caught in the dense forest. . . away from their guardian Shepherd! Front and back views are shown in the above photo. Each Shepherd's Call Vase is $190.

The whimsical Alley Cat has been one of Fenton's most popular items since it was first made in 1970. This mould originated during the 1920s at the U.S. Glass Co. plant in Tiffin, Ohio. Fenton acquired the mould in the mid-1960s. Since that time, Fenton has made the Alley Cat in many different colors and decorative treatments, and each has been greeted with much enthusiasm by Fenton collectors, who just can't get enough of the Alley Cat's characteristic grin. This rich Cobalt Blue color of this satin finished 11" Alley Cat Figurine provides the perfect canvas for Robin Spindler's hand painted design. Robin created a wonderful scene of a large Sheep Dog watching over a couple of playful lambs. She added flora and fauna in complementary colors that frame the scene. Each Sheep Dog on Duty Alley Cat Figurine is $195.

Kim Barley's marvelous "Miz Magic" Witch Figurine will make the perfect addition to your Halloween display! Sure to become a seasonal favorite, this 6.5" Opal Satin Witch figurine sports many of our favorite Halloween symbols. . . including a black cat with a blue star collar, a "ready to fly" broomstick, potion bottles, and a smiling green toad (or is that a newt?). She's even holding a purple magic potion bag.

Kim also added her whimsical touch to the witch's face which features warts, a toothy grin, marvelous eyes (those eyebrows!), and bright red hair. Moon and star accents and magic wands complete this piece. Each Miz Magic Witch Figurine is $115.

Pre-orders for the Shepherd's Call Vase, Sheep Dog on Duty Alley Cat and Miz Magic Witch Figurines will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .

Here's your opportunity to own a beautiful "one-of-a-kind" art glass creation or unique items from Fenton's history through our weekly eBay auctions. These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, August 22. Items featured this week. . .

Award-winning Fenton artist Kim Barley displays her talents and skills with this wonderful, one-of-a-kind amphora vase (10.5" tall, including the brass finish metal stand). Kim used delicate airbrushing techniques on the 9.5Ē Opal glass vase to create splendid blue tones that are reminiscent of the depths of the sea. The inside is shiny and the outside has a satin finish. Kimís hand painting talents are reflected in the remarkably realistic seashells and the tendrils of undersea plant life ... not to mention a few bubbles! The amphora is a classic shape that dates back to Greek and Roman times.

Here's a splendid one-of-a-kind hand painted iceberg paperweight (4" tall x 4" wide) from Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe. She has depicted the head of a horse in wonderfully realistic detail. You may just want to reach out and stroke the horse's magnificent mane! This paperweight is Opal (opaque white) glass, made by Mosser Glass. The front was satin finished to provide the background for Michelle's hand painting.

Here's a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire some wonderful Fenton Art Glass history that is related to glass technology. Early each morning (about 4-5 am), a Fenton employee was tasked with the responsibility of checking glass colors in the melting furnaces. This was necessary to assure that the glass color was just right before glass production was set to begin. The procedure involved gathering a small amount of molten glass and forming a disk. An iron tool (about 7.625" long with a 3" x 3" flat area) that is shown here was used to transfer the (still very hot!) disks to a metal unit where each could be viewed. As you can see in the photos, this auction includes the iron tool and 12 glass disks in various colors (Burmese, Milk Glass, cobalt blue, Favrene, etc.). Each disk is about 2.5" in diameter. Most of the disks have paper labels with dates and identify the glass color (the term "Standard" or "Std." indicates that the color is exactly what the glass technologists wanted).
These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, August 22, 2018.
