NEW Limited Editions from Fenton Gift Shop. . .
We are pleased to offer new Limited Edition selections for pre-orders. Each piece features a hand painted design and will be signed, numbered and dated by one of our talented designers. These Limited Edition pieces, with the exception of the Fairy Light Lighthouse, were handcrafted by Mosser Glass, using the Fenton moulds, exclusively for the Fenton Gift Shop.

The impressive size (10.75") of this Opal Satin Vase provides an excellent canvas for Michelle Kibbe's hand painted scene of the chatty and colorful Blue Jays. The details are amazing! The birds are perched on berry-laden branches. Michelle added lush green leaves and a nice landscape in the background.

Two Blue Jays are on the front of the vase. Did you know. . .
Blue Jays aren’t actually blue. In fact, the pigment in their feathers is brown. Scattering light in the structural parts of the feathers causes us to see the blue coloration. Each Blue Jays Vase is $165.

The animals of "Noah's Ark" come to life with Michelle Kibbe's hand painted scene on our popular Chessie Cat Covered Box. She created a wonderful "two-by-two" scene of animals aboard the ark on our 8" Opal Satin Chessie Cat Covered Box. This popular "Chessie" cat character was used as a symbol of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. They used this artwork with their advertising slogan that when traveling on their railway you would "sleep like a kitten". In addition to the artist's signature, the base of this box is embossed with the words "Chessie by Fenton".

The top photo shows the paired animals depicted on this Limited Edition set. A curious giraffe checks out the sleeping kitten while two elephant trunks (note the white tusks) reach out of one window. An ostrich pair stretch their longs necks as they search the horizon and a zebra pair peek out from another window. Michelle completes her scene with a thatched roof for the lid and blue and white ocean waves along the base. Each Noah's Ark Chessie Cat Covered Box is $150.

A great addition to any Halloween display, this 5.75" Opal Satin Ghost Figurine was designed by Kim Barley in her popular whimsical theme. Our ghost sports a dangling spider as well as a cast of charming Halloween characters including grinning pumpkins, an adorable scraggly black cat and as always, that smiling face of the ghost! Note the moon in the background of soft hues of blue, green and yellow. Kim hand lettered the words "Oct. 31st" on the back of the figurine (see the inset photo). Sure to become a favorite piece in your seasonal display! Each Too cute to Spook Ghost Figurine is $115.

Pre-orders for the Blue Jays Vase, Noah's Ark Chessie Cat Covered Box and Too cute to Spook! Ghost Figurine will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Monday, July 16, 2018. To pre-order these Limited Editions, please contact Fenton Gift Shop at 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or email purchasing@fentongiftshop.com
and include your full name and daytime phone in the email and names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line.

Visitors to Fenton Gift Shop have been admiring this vase. . . a new shape for our Limited Edition offerings. This vase has been receiving several comments, testimony to the artistic talent of Robin Spindler! Her hand painted details are meticulous and breathtaking to behold. Her scene features three ruby-throated hummingbirds seeking nectar from the lush red-orange color of the Hibiscus flowers. The design encircles this 11.25" Opal Satin vase. Each Hummingbird Trio Vase is $225.

Robin Spindler has created another perfect companion for our Bengal Cat Vase (featured in the June 15th newsletter). We named this one "Jungle Cat".

Robin has transformed this Opal Satin 5" Stylized Cat Figurine into a black cat sitting amongst a lush jungle landscape.

Her design features vibrant orange flowers and green foliage. Robin added pink accents on the ears and a pink nose. Note those golden eyes!
Each Jungle Cat Stylized Cat Figurine is $95.

You'll feel like you're at the beach whenever you view this Lighthouse Fairy Light! Michelle Kibbe created a wonderful scene of dolphins leaping out of the water. She used soft shades of blue-green for the water and sky. Palm trees frame the frolicking dolphin scene. Michelle created the warm glow of a sunset on two sides of the base. This set was handcrafted in Opal Satin glass (5" base) and crystal (3" top) at Fenton Collectibles using the Fenton Art Glass moulds that were not used for production before glassmaking halted at Fenton in 2011. You'll also receive a battery-operated tea light with each Lighthouse that fits perfectly on the top of the base in a recessed area, which measures approximately 1-1/5" diameter. Each Dolphin Delight Lighthouse Fairy Light is $125.

Pre-orders for the Hummingbird Trio Vase, Jungle Cat Stylized Cat Figurine and Dolphin Delight Lighthouse Fairy Light will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. To pre-order, please contact Fenton Gift Shop at 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or email purchasing@fentongiftshop.com and include the names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line as well as your full name and daytime phone number.

Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .

Here's your opportunity to own a beautiful "one-of-a-kind" art glass creation or unique item of Fenton history through our weekly eBay auctions.

These Fenton
Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, July 18. Items featured this week. . .

Here's a wonderful one-of-a-kind hand painted vase (7.25" tall) in Burmese glass by talented Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe. Her hand painted Cardinals are remarkably true to life, so much so that we can almost hear their distinctive chirps! A pair of Cardinals are perched amidst lush foliage and delicate flowers, and a single male Cardinal is on the reverse side of the vase. Burmese is a classic Fenton glass color, and pure gold in the glass batch creates the delicate pink blush when the glass is carefully reheated by our glassworkers. Note the extraordinarily delicate tri-crimp finish, a real tribute to Fenton's skilled glassworkers. This one-of-a-kind hand painted vase is identified, dated and signed on the underside: "hand painted by M. Kibbe 2018 OOAK".

Here's a wonderful one-of-a-kind hand painted Sea Turtle figurine (4" long) designed and hand painted by award winning Fenton artist Robin Spindler. The Sea Turtle is Opal Satin glass, and Robin's "true to life" hand painting is simply dazzling! Every brushstroke is just perfect, and the colors are remarkable for their clarity and sense of depth. If you collect Fenton animal figurines, don't miss the chance to add this one-of-a-kind Sea Turtle to your collection. This one-of-a-kind figurine is identified, dated and signed on the underside: "Fenton 2018 J K Spindler OOAK".

Here's an opportunity to acquire an assortment of Fenton glass rods on a wooden base for display. These glass rods are color samples of Fenton glass from the 1960s. The rods were made under the direction of glass chemist Charles “Charlie” Goe, who was employed at the Fenton Art Glass Co. from September 1, 1960 until his death at age 40 in October 1969. In addition to his day-to-day duties involving glass batch mixing and other aspects of production, Charlie was a research chemist. In the 1960s, company president Frank M. Fenton was very interested in having Fenton recreate historic glass colors such as Burmese from the 1880s, Bastow’s opaque pink from about 1900, and Jacob Rosenthal’s Chocolate from the earliest years of the twentieth century. Goe worked on developing these glass colors during his time at Fenton, and his greatest achievements were creating formulas for Fenton’s Burmese glass and Rosalene glass. Tragically, his success with Burmese came just prior to his sudden death in 1969. The wooden base measures 8.75" x 6.75" (you could paint or stain this base if you wish). This assortment of 22 glass color samples includes the following Fenton glass colors: light Chocolate, dark Chocolate, cobalt blue, opaque dark yellow, Pekin Blue, Jonquil, dark amber, opaque light green, opaque light yellow, light yellow, Burmese, dark ruby, Rosalene, opaque light orange/red slag, opaque dark brown, opaque red, emerald green, opaque light pink, light blue, opaque white, light ruby and smoke. The glass rods are arranged in the form of a block "F" and fit into holes drilled in the wood (some of the rods fit more tightly than others, and these make for an interesting display). These glass rods were made by gathering a small quantity of glass from a “test pot” on a punty and rolling it on a steel plate called a marver. Because of the process used to make them, the rods will vary a bit in length and in diameter; typically, each rod is slightly more than 2-1/2” long and about 3/8” in diameter.
