Fenton Art Glass Presents. . .
Fabulous Friday the 13th Specials!
Friday the 13th is the most feared day and date in history! Some people will avoid their normal routines in doing business, taking flights or even getting out of bed on that date.
Did you know. . . An estimated 17 to 21 million people in the United States are affected by a fear of Friday the 13th, according to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in North Carolina. This phobia is called "Paraskevidekatriaphobia". Fenton Historian Jim Measell was born on a Friday the 13th (in 1942!), but he does not suffer from this malady.

However, this is your LUCKY Friday the 13th! We are pleased to continue our handcrafted jewelry specials with these latest offerings with 40% off on select necklaces. These selections are available while supplies last. There is just one available for most of these items. You may also visit the Fenton Art Glass web site: www.fentonartglass.com to browse current offerings.

Choose from the jewelry selection shown below or from the categories listed below the photos.

NEW Limited Editions from Fenton Gift Shop. . .
We are pleased to offer new Limited Edition selections for pre-orders. Each piece features a hand painted design and will be signed, numbered and dated by one of our talented designers. The Crystal Iceberg Paperweight was handcrafted by Mosser Glass. The other Limited Edition pieces were made by Mosser, using the Fenton moulds, exclusively for the Fenton Gift Shop.

Our 10" Opal Satin Vase provides the perfect canvas for Michelle Kibbe's hand painted roses design. Michelle's "Charleton Roses" motif was inspired by decorations found on Fenton glass from the 1940s-50s. These items were decorated and marketed as "Charleton" by the Abels Wasserberg firm in New York City. These pieces featured lavish florals and 22k gold accents. Fenton Art Glass developed a "Charleton Collection" that was offered on QVC in 2002. Michelle's version features lush pink roses and greenery with a delicate butterfly on two sides of the vase. She added delicate scrolls and dot accents, bands and other intricate details to complete this piece. Each Charleton Roses Vase is $155 and limited to ten vases.

NOW AVAILABLE! American glass manufacturers have produced eggs since the early 1900s, some years after covered hen boxes became popular. The Fenton Art Glass "5140 Egg on Stand" was produced in many colors and patterns during the 1970s and 80s. Fenton began their "Collectible Eggs" series in 1991. This Egg on Stand features the base that was redesigned by Fenton sculptor Jon Saffell. We are pleased to bring back this popular collectible. Our 3.75" Opal Satin Egg on Stand features a colorful hand painted "Spring Butterflies 'n Blooms" design by Kim Barley. Vibrant tulips and other spring flowers along with two beautiful purple butterflies adorn this figurine. Kim added delicate bands as well as accents on the base. Each Spring Butterflies 'n Blooms Egg on Stand is $85.

Our popular Snowman and Snowlady Figurines show their patriotic spirit with Michelle Kibbe's hand painted fireworks design. "Sam 'n Sally Sparkle" are dressed in patriotic red, white and blue with stars, stripes and snowflakes! Michelle added glitter to the fireworks for extra sparkle! You may order Sam (4") or Sally (3.75") Sparkle for $75 each or the set for $140. PLEASE NOTE: Sally Sparkle is limited to 8 figurines, so don't delay placing your order if you want the set! First come, first served!

Pre-orders for the Charleton Roses Vase, Spring Butterflies 'n Blooms Egg on Stand and the Sam 'n Sally Sparkle Snow Couple Figurines will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Monday, April 16, 2018. To place your pre-order, please call Fenton Gift Shop: 1-800-319-7793, ext. 342 or email: purchasing@fentongiftshop.com and include the names of the items you want to purchase in the subject line as well as your full name and daytime phone number. You may also request we add your email address to our mailing list for future Limited Edition specials!

Robin Spindler continues her "endangered species" series of hand painted designs. She named this series "Fading from Memory" and each limited edition piece will feature an endangered species. A species is considered "threatened" if it is likely to become endangered within the foreseeable future. One way to find out if a species is endangered is to search the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species Reports. Robin's latest limited edition "Fading from Memory" piece is an "American Pika" hand painted on a 7" tall Crystal Iceberg Paperweight, made by Mosser. Robin created a wonderful three-dimensional effect by painting the rock scene on the back side and the animal on the front side of this paperweight. Each piece will be signed, numbered and dated by Robin. She will also inscribe the name on each piece.

Did you know. . . The American Pika is a small member of the Lagomorpha family, which includes rabbits and hares. It is well-adapted to cold alpine climates. Its dense fur obscures its tail, which is the longest of all lagomorph tails. Climate change is threatening the future of this species as it is physiologically intolerant of high temperatures and its habitat is becoming increasingly unsuitable. Unlike many wildlife species that shift their ranges in response to changing climate, Pikas have nowhere else to go. In some locations, entire Pika populations have already disappeared. This Crystal Iceberg Paperweight is a wonderful keepsake to commemorate this endangered species. Each Fading from Memory - American Pika Crystal Iceberg Paperweight is $100 and limited to 19.

NOW AVAILABLE! Several Fentons fell hard for sculptor Suzi Whitaker's new horse figurine mould design in 2006. The final result was named the "Fenton Foal" and this figurine has become a collector favorite. We are pleased to offer this figurine, now handcrafted in Opal Satin! This Fenton Foal figurine is 3.75" long and is hand painted in a natural "gray" style by Michelle Kibbe. The Foal's mane has wonderful texture, and the eyes are remarkably expressive. Did you know. . . A "gray" horse has black skin with white or mixed dark and white hairs. Gray horses can be born any color, and lighten as they age. Most will eventually become a complete white or have a "fleabitten" coat, which retains speckles of the horse's original color. A gray horse is distinguished from a white horse by dark skin, which is particularly noticeable around the eyes, muzzle, flanks, and other thin hair areas. Each Fenton Gray Foal Figurine is $75.

Kim Barley created a "Gray Tabby" motif for our 3.5" Sitting Cat Figurine. Kim hand painted delicate gray stripes on the body and added gray paws for a natural look. The expression on the cat's face is marvelous... from its wide eyes and white tipped ears to the pink little nose! Perfect gift for cat enthusiasts or figurine collectors! Each Gray Tabby Sitting Cat Figurine is $75.

Pre-orders for the Fading from Memory - American Pika Crystal Iceberg Paperweight, the Fenton Gray Foal Figurine and the Gray Tabby Sitting Cat Figurine will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Fenton Art Glass eBay Auctions. . .
Here's your opportunity to own a beautiful "one-of-a-kind" art glass creation through our weekly eBay auctions. The Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, April 18. Items featured this week. . .

Award-winning Fenton designer Robin Spindler continues to amaze us with her talents and skills. With a dramatic Fenton Art Glass Favrene glass oval vase for her canvas, Robin created and hand painted this wonderful one-of-a-kind piece. This oval vase stands 6" tall, and the top area is 8.25" long and 5.75" wide. Robin's design features delicate sandcarved foliage and careful airbrushing to frame a hand painted pair of deer. The Buck deer is in the foreground, and the Doe is in the background. The hand painted details are meticulously done, and the deer are remarkably lifelike. Favrene glass is a classic Fenton Art Glass product that contains pure silver. Special reheating techniques were used to create the vivid iridescence that you can see in the pictures of the sandcarved foliage on this vase.

This one-of-a-kind hand painted Owl figurine by Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe on Opal Satin glass is wonderfully detailed. Delicate airbrushing on the body is the perfect background for hand painted details on the Owl's wings and tail, and the piercing eyes are simply splendid to behold. This  5.5" tall figurine was handcrafted by Mosser Glass, using the Fenton mould, exclusively for Fenton Gift Shop. Michelle's design features a male Mallard duck in flight above a marsh with cattails, and the overall effect is marvelous.

This one-of-a-kind hand painted Rooster figurine (5.25" tall) by Fenton artist Michelle Kibbe on Opal Satin glass is remarkable for both its design and its meticulous details. The hand painted Folk Art design by Michelle features amazing latticework, curlicues and stylized florals. The contrasting colors on this figurine are especially vibrant, and the hand painting is perfectly executed, as the photos will show.
These Fenton Art Glass eBay auctions will end at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
