What Is Fenton International?
A message from George Fenton,
President of Fenton Art Glass Company

A few years ago, we implemented many changes to recover from the difficulties we faced in 2007. In 2008, we initiated two brands: Fenton USA and Fenton International. Fenton USA glass is produced at our historic factory in Williamstown, West Virginia. The Fenton International line, which consists of glass, ceramics and other giftware, is imported.

For more than a century, Fenton has been known for our expertise as producers of fine quality, handcrafted colored
art glass. The colored glass designs now available from Fenton International are in response to requests for us to
use this expertise to become the premier supplier of colored glass from around the world as well as from America. Fenton International glass designs are developed with meticulous care to ensure they bring great value to consumers. Each Fenton International piece bears the Fenton International logo. Production quality is checked frequently by members of the Fenton staff. The Fenton International glass lines will be available in price ranges and designs that are not possible to achieve domestically.

Here in Williamstown, West Virginia, we continue to produce colored art glass in the time-honored manner, by hand, just as we have done since January 1907. Our large contingent of Fenton collectors continues to enjoy fine collectible glass under the Fenton USA brand. Incidentally, we add "USA" to each of our moulds as we use them, either below or beside the Fenton logo. A small "1" designates pieces made in 2010 and will continue through 2019.

Fenton dealers across the country have responded well to changes in our marketing and production schedules. Fenton USA glass items will continue to be more limited, both in number and in the time available. Click here to browse the current Fenton USA products.
